So, here it is… 2012:

1. What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before?
Bought a new new car. Worked a contract job. Sewed. Played in the SNOW in Jo’burg!

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I am ashamed to say I failed at this. My list of “resolutions” was easy, and I failed :(

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, a friend of mine, Sally, had a little boy!

4. Did anyone close to you die?

5. What countries did you visit?
Israel for my 13 year old nephew’s barmitzvah

6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?

7. What date, from 2012, will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

16(?) May 2012 – my dad had a heart attack but is all good now :)

Also August – it’s when I started that contract job.

And December when we were in Israel

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Probably being financially stable and not struggling (financially)

9. What was your biggest failure?
Like I mentioned above, I’m disappointed that I didn’t stick to my “resolutions”, I also wish I knew how to be more patient.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing serious, no.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My new Car! Then my iPod. And new glasses! Tickets to Israel were also a big deal.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Is it incredibly lame to say my husband – for the millionth year in a row?

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Can’t think of anyone offhand.

14. Where did most of your money go?
To the things I bought listed at number 11.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My birthday!

16. What song will always remind you of 2012?
Sam and the Womp – Bom Bom Bom!

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? probably the same :)
Thinner or fatter? fatter fo shizzle!
Richer or poorer? richer

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

Christmas was spent travelling. We left SA on Christmas Eve for Israel, with a connecting flight in Turkey. So we landed in Turkey at about 7am on Christmas morning, flew out shortly after and landed in Israel at about 11am on Christmas morning. Obviously, Israel and Christmas don’t really go together, but my sister had set up a little “Christmas tree” in the caravan, with gifts for us. It was very sweet.

21. How will you be spending New Year?

We were still in israel for New Year… and again, it’s not celebrated there. It was winter, and got dark at about 4:30pm, so we were in bed reading early. Felt like any other night!

22. Did you fall in love in 2012?

YES! I fell in love with my youngest nephew in Israel. Tal is 5 and is a ginger and is tooooo cute for words! I taught him to say “I’m a fluffy ginger Ninja”

23. How many one-night stands?

Nope. And i probably never will – so please stop asking :p

24. What was your favourite TV programme ?

Ag, the same reality shows. And a new series we started watching: Once Upon a Time

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

26. What was the best book you read?

I’m ashamed to say nothing stands out. *blush*

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Bree Sharp. I had heard of her before, but I now have a bunch of albums and she rocks my world.

28. What did you want and get?

A sewing machine!

29. What did you want and not get?

A sewing machine cabinet

30. What was your favorite film of this year?

Rise of the Guardians.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I was 30 and had an AWESOME Champagne & Cupcakes Party!

32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

You know, I really can’t complain, it was a pretty good year.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?

Trying to be appropriate for a 30 year old wife and entrepreneur :p

34. What kept you sane?

I think I went a bit insane this year. But I would say spending time at the stables, with Twister was my happy calming place.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Meh… that dude who played Thor… was he this year?

36. Who did you miss?

Suprisingly, my answer is the same as last year, without me even meaning to. I’m not sure it is classed as “missing” but I wish I had a sister who lived close by. After spending a week with my sister in Israel, I realised how much I am missing out on not having my sisters close by :( Gave me a case of the sads.

37. Who was the best new person you met?

Belinda from my contract job. I think we’ll be friends foreverever!

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2012.

Sleep when you’re dead.

39. Quote that sums up your year.

I like your style of womping.

I’ve seen a couple of 2012 in review posts. I’m now feeling guilty enough to start mine ;)
